Rank gaps by impact (how much risk/obligation weight they carry) and by deadline (how soon the obligation bites).
Rules of thumb
- Blocking, high-impact, near-deadline first.
- Batch gaps with a shared fix.
- Don't let easy-but-irrelevant work crowd out the critical few.
